How to join

Four simple steps enable you to join Sandbach & District u3a online:

  1. Please read the privacy statement which can be found here: Privacy Statement.
  2. Enter your details in the form below.
  3. Please read the Gift-Aid Declaration and if you meet the requirements, select the “Yes” button below the declaration.
  4. Click on the “Submit Membership Request” button at the bottom of the form.

You will then receive an email giving details of the ways you can pay your membership fee, including our preferred method which is online by credit or debit card, so please check your email messages. The fee is currently £5 per annum.

If you join after the end of March you can get up to 18 months membership for the same fee.

GiftAid

Boost your donation of the membership fee by 25p of Gift Aid for every £1 you donate. Gift Aid is reclaimed by Sandbach and District u3a from the tax you pay for the current tax year. Your address is needed to identify you as a current UK taxpayer. In order to Gift Aid your donation you must select the "Yes" button after the Gift Aid Declaration below.

If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.

Gift Aid Declaration: I want to Gift Aid my donation of the membership fee and any donations I make in the future to Sandbach and District u3a. I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference.

As a member you will be able to amend your gift aid declaration at any time by visiting your “My Profile” area on this website and the change will apply to all subsequent donations. Please notify Sandbach and District u3a if you: (A) Want to cancel this declaration, (B) Change your name or home address or (C) No longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains.
