Our wine tasting and appreciation group meetings will take place in members’ homes on the fourth Friday of each month.
We taste 6 wines per evening and we are invited to offer our opinions on the wine and share any knowledge we may have.
This of course can vary; the aim of the meeting is to have fun and perhaps learn a little along the way.
Nibbles are normally provided by the hosts or brought by other members eg crisps/breadsticks etc.
The costs of the wines tasted is shared amongst all members present and is usually £6 - £8 per person.
We currently pay £2 per person u3a session fee which covers the year.
The group leaders’ home is the default venue.
Driving is discouraged; a taxi is often arranged and the cost shared between the members who use it.
