Each month we discuss a book, which has been agreed by the group. A program for the year is formulated by the Group Leader based on suggestions and input from all group members. A "Long List"" is usually drawn up in August and sent out to members to give them an opportunity to indicate their own individual preferences - before the Group Leader then creates the final choice of 10 books.

 At the first meeting of the year in September,  we have a discussion on the book that was chosen as our "Summer  Read" 

and also reveal which 9 books we are going to read in the new term. 

 We always attempt to select books from a variety of genres and Authors so that we are extending our own reading experience and maybe trying something different from our own usual taste. However, whilst we are more than prepared to tackle some of the more challenging authors and works, we are also equally happy to visit the realm of popular fiction and discover some of the debut talent on offer. 

 Discussions are always lively and amusing due to the many diverse opinions voiced. This is a very friendly and welcoming group who all share a love of reading. It's sociable and great fun!
