Welcome to Sandbach U3A Astronomy. We are a group of U3A members who have an interest in the expansive fields of study within the world of Astronomy. We follow a mixed programme of talks, each one focused on a particular area of interest. The session by session approach means you won’t miss out if you can’t attend a meeting. The leaders and some of the members of the group take it in turns to share their knowledge and passion for Astronomy with engaging and inspiring talks, DVD's and YouTube videos. We do not have the budget for bringing in speakers at this time. Please though, don’t think that you will be asked to present, unless you want to! We have found over the years, that it is amazing what a wealth of knowledge we have within the group and what a learning experience it is to share that interest with the group.

Each month we also have a review of what is happening in the night sky.

We meet September until May in Room 1, The Wesley Centre, Wesley Avenue, Sandbach CW11 1DS. On the 2^nd and the 4^th Monday of the month (Excluding Christmas and Bank Holidays) 2pm until 3.30pm. If you need to drive to the meeting please be aware that the carpark is quite small and the entry is narrow but it does have disabled parking bays. There are bicycle racks outside the building too!

Our first meeting of 2026-27 season is on 14^th September.
