About the group
We meet up in Padbury Village Hall on alternate Wednesdays. Please let us know if you would like to join us and we can give you more precise instructions about how to get there. There is a small attendance fee which covers the hire of the hall, this can vary according to number of meetings, there is often no meeting in August, but varies between £20.00 and a maximum of £40.00 per year.
We have started work on a range of music in relatively easy arrangements, from Handel, Tchaikovsky and Bruckner to folk songs and film or TV theme tunes with the aim of improving our ensemble skills. Most pieces are short but as we develop as a band we are looking to increase the length and depth of our repertoire.
Until then, please get in touch if you think you would like to play with us. We would especially welcome instruments that can play bass and more strings would be lovely!
