About the group
The group is active, focused and friendly and there are a few vacancies.
Meets on Wednesdays from 11am to 12.15pm on Zoom, except -
No meeting first Wednesday and the third Wednesday is in person at a member’s home.
The meetings commence with informal conversation in French about our recent news.
The bulk of the meeting focuses on a text about contemporary events and issues in France - social, political, cultural etc - often drawn from a recent article in a newspaper or magazine, eg Le Nouvel Observateur.
The meeting does not translate the text but members read it aloud and discuss it in French.
The group leader clarifies anything in the language which might be perplexing.
