About the group
Catering for beginners and more experienced dancers our aim is to have fun, folk/barn dancing for about 90 minutes or so at the Embleton Way Scout / Community Hall for enjoyment, starting very simply then seeing how we progress.
We hope as many as possible will join us one afternoon each month for a very social occasion, with a tea and cake break! Dances will include squares, circles and longways sets of four or more couples – if there’s enough of us who feel particularly energetic we might even “strip the willow”! Fraser Winterbottom, a Buckingham U3A member and regular caller at local events and clubs, will teach and call the dances and local musicians Ken and Cameron play the Accordion.
