LEARN TOGETHER, TEACH TOGETHER.
What a wonderful group this is becoming. New skills are being learnt and new friendships are being formed.
Our Wool Group is supported by two really keen ladies who seem to have endless patience. Some members are already knitters but trying their hand at Crochet.
The Paper Group are currently working on making Christmas Cards for Charity. The materials have kindly been supplied by the leader of this group. Such a very active group that are exercising their vocal cords as well as making really attractive cards.
Our Thread Group is running at a very much slower pace as every stitch has to be so accurate! Needles are dropped and hunted for and the work is coming along beautifully.
We are very lucky with our Group Leaders within each skill as we could not do this without them.
We hope in the future to do a little Macrame and really anything the Group wants to do. We plan to have a couple of demonstrations in the near future. Dates to be announced Also we plan to hold regular spare material sales.
We still have a little capacity for new members, so please make contact
1. The cost will be £3 per person (to cover the cost of hall hire, tea/coffee and biscuits)
2. Please bring your own drinking vessel.
3. We have started our own WhatsApp group "U3A Crafts". If you would like to be included then please let Lesley know at the next meeting and she will add your number to the list. WhatsApp is very useful for quick informative messages, better than emails.
