LEARN TOGETHER, TEACH TOGETHER.
As of Friday 17th April, we are up and running.
Our first session was very much a "meet and greet". A get together to discover your aspirations.
We had a great mix of ideas and skills. Lots of enthusiasm.
A couple of points for future seesions.
1. The cost will be £3 per person (to cover the cost of hall hire, tea/coffee and biscuits)
2. Please bring your own drinking vessel.
3. We have started our own WhatsApp group "U3A Crafts". If you would like to be included then please let Lesley know at the next meeting and she will add your number to the list. WhatsApp is very useful for quick informative messages, better than emails.
We have asked for 4 round tables to be set out for each session so that a sperate skill could take place on each tables. If you wish to mentor or share a skill then please make it known so that "learners" can join you.
Initially, it looks like the most popular activities will be Woolcraft (Knitting and Crochet), Needlecrafts (Cross Stitch, Embroidery) and Paper Crafts.
As the group grows / evolves then so will the activities.
