Hillingdon u3a members have been learning, staying active and having fun for more than 22 years - experiencing what it means to have a positive later life.

We draw upon our knowledge and experience to teach and learn from each other for pleasure - learning is its own reward; and it's all voluntary, local, social, friendly and low cost. Join Hillingdon u3a and make the most out of life.

The u3a is a good way of making friends and meeting people. By joining an interest or activity group that interests you, you know that you're meeting people with a shared interest.

Once a month you will also be invited to an open members' meeting with a speaker, with a break for tea, coffee and biscuits, and a chance to get to know yet more
Hillingdon u3a members.

Take a look at our Groups and Events pages to find out more. You would find plenty to do should you join us now - and if the activity that you would like to join doesn't exist we can help you to start your own interest group.

Membership is open to anyone who is no longer in full time employment. Annual membership begins on 1st April of every year and the Individual Membership Fee for 2024/25 is:

  • £32 to receive our quarterly Newsletter by e-mail
  • £50 to receive our quarterly Newsletter by Post

(If a couple is joining and you wish to receive a posted Newsletter then one member should pay for Post and the other for e-mail.) If you are in receipt of any income or disability related benefits, please discuss your subscription, in confidence, with the Membership Secretary on 07532 268 002.

However, it will be sent outside to the companies which distribute our newsletters and the National Office’s magazine, Third Age Matters.
